Episode One. Hello Big sis. You're kind of a bitch.
Earth guy is pushy. (where's toph?)
Ooo, she can weild lightning like Iroh did that one time.
And there's Zuko, acting like an ass. *smacks Zuko over the back of the head*.
...holy crap, Sokka looks different with his hair down.
Oh shit, "We're taking the prisoners home."
"You lied to me!" "Like I've never done that before."
Zuko really would be an easy mark if you know his (glaringly obvious) buttons.
General, that was a dumb. thing. to do.
Ah, there's a limit on the God-mode. Avatar can't be killed or it's over.
Symbolic cutting of hair! I love it. XD
Episode 2. ..."she'll leave you broken, broken hearted..." Do I know that song?
Nomad Hawaiian hippies. Huh.
Delectible tea, or deadly poison. I love Iroh and Zuko. I really, really do.
"Secret love cave, let's go."
Killed, or Azula? Killed. No question.
Zuko, you are crap at lying. XD Aw, and now he gets to see the other side of the Fire Nation.
...wolf bat?
Oh, poor Sokka. Stuck with the singing hippies.
Oh god, Aang, "If it were a choice between kissing you and dying-" Still, it's cute.
ZUKO. STILL AN ASS.
...so did they kiss?
...oh crap.
Episode 3. Back to find the crazy guy, but the city has been conqured.
Creepy old ladies are creepy.
And it's Mei and Ty Lee. (I think that's the right spelling)
Oh jesus, Azula's a bitch. And I think Ty Lee saw it coming.
And there's the hint that Mei likes Zuko.
Episode 4. Iroh has NO SHAME. ...and did that line come from, "Save a horse, ride a cowboy"?
And Zuko does not look happy. Well. Zuko never looks happy.
Uh. There are hillbillies in the swamp. Kay. ...I hear banjos.
So I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and guess that the inclusion of the hillbillies and the hippies were/are a means of making the Avatar world more relatable to Western kids, in the context of an Eastern world. But they don't demonize anyone. Stereotype, yeah, but even then it steps a little out of the realm of stereotype and into distinct differences in groups of different people. Even though the hillbillies tried to eat Aang's pet. I don't expect perfection.
YES! Returned of the masked vigilante! :D :D :D I was hoping that mask would come back! No, seriously, the fact that Zuko has this alternate identity is completely hilarious to me. Makes me laugh every time. XD
Episode 5. Poot Sokka lost his boomerang.
Wait, the earth kingdom people are celebrating the fall of the avatar???
VIGILANTE ZUKO. WHAT.
Okay, less vigilante, more thief. He's still wearing a mask and trying to be sneaky. Iroh's not falling for it.
That's it Zuko, you steal from the rich. XD
...oh my god, I just saw the Sherlock holmes resemblance.
"Bald head, some nice tatoos. You're gonna fit in real well around here." Oh dear god.
Hey, it's the island with the warrior girls. Without the warrior girls. ...what's wrong with that guy?
Of course Aang is getting relationship advice from the criminals. Of course.
And Zuko is still hung up on the avatar.
Wow, Kiyoshi was a giant.
Gotta love the crossdressing in this show.
Zuko, you are STILL AN IDIOT.
And that's the Wheel of Fortune, innit?
"Boomerang! You do always come back!"
Episode 6. Huh. That's the first time I saw a 'previously on' for this show.
Oooo, Toph is in this one. Let's see what she's like.
Haha, I love it, it looked like Katara went off to flirt to get the info, but instead she froze them to wall. :D
Yay professional wrestling.
Oh Sokka.
"Do people really want to see two little girls out here?"
Oh, I like Toph. I like her a lot. XD
Oo, the dad doesn't look happy.
...and she's a lier.
Oh, totally a lier.
Episode 7 Heh. This one's called Zuko Alone. The chances that I'll like it? Pretty high.
Woo, he's looking pretty worn out there. Guant.
Very midwest.
Oh my god, he was laughing!
He was such a momma's boy. XD
Azula is a sociopath. Clearly.
"Made in earth kingdom." But he gave him the dagger.
Zuuuuukoooooooo.
Oh, Iroh was supposed to be ruler. Oh.
Well. At least he got to keep the dagger. :\
Episode 8. Yeah, Toph's not much of a girly girl. Can't say I blame her.
Friction between Katara and Toph. But hey, it passes the Bechdel Test!
Oh, Katara. "The stars sure are beautiful. Too bad you can't see them, Toph." o_o
I bet the persuers are tracking Toph.
Oh, no. It's much worse. It's Azula.
Toph is totally not a team player.
Zuko and his ostrich are hot on the trail!
I love Katara's 'bring it on' gesture.
And it's...Iroh. Huh. Thought it would be Zuko. Toph and Iroh, that should be interesting.
Ha, Ty Lee thinks Sokka is cute.
I really like Toph.
ZUKO.
This fight is awesome. But Aang and Zuko aren't at their best.
AND WHAT ALL FOUR.
Iroh, no. No no. Katara could have helped! But Iroh made the connection between Toph and Aang, he's gotta be able to wake up and use that at some point, right?
Episode 9. Bitter Work. That doesn't sound good.
Eh? Cee-fu? Wha?
Heh. "Rock beats Air Bender."
Aw, the tea.
"I know what you're going to say- she's my sister and I should be trying to get along with her."
No, she's crazy and she needs to go down."
Well. At least Zuko's less angry now. I really think the pony tail was too tight.
"It's not the only delicate instrument around here."
"I will give up meat and sarcasm."
Ehhhh? Zuko's learning waterbending techniques? Oh, the irony.
He's going after a THUNDER STORM, THE IDIOT.
Slight bonding between Katara and Toph over positive reinforcement.
Emo Zuko continues to be emo. With the scream of agony and the single tear.
Episode10. So where's this library?
Oo, sword master, looks like.
Oh god, the professor and his questions. Ha ha, it's funny because it's true.
...stop groping the bison.
Oh my god I love Toph. "There it is!" She's blind. And over it.
Creepy owl. Very creepy owl.
Oh crap, very, very creepy owl. With a very long neck
What the hell, they got Apa!
Episode 11. And Aang's angry.
Injured, and yet Iroh still kicks ass.
HA, Sokka's tripping.
I really do love how Zuko's on those wanted posters twice.
Aang is scary when he's angry. And what's this about the Lotus people?
Episode 12.
Hey, wait. Is that the pregnant woman and husband that Zuko passed in the miwest? Huh.
AH. OH MY GOD. IT'S JET. OH SHIT. Yeah, this is gonna end well.
And the cabbage guy is back. XD
IT'S SUKI.
Damn, is this a reunion episode or what?
"Abandon hope"? Gee. Wonder where they got that from.
Aang really lost that innocence, huh?
Sokka's having issues because of Yumi, how much you wanna bet.
"You could go ahead and let me drown now." Aw, does Toph like Sokka?
The redemption of the two bad boys. But I wonder if Jet is sincere? The perfect test, of course...would be Zuko himself. Yeah, that's really gonna end well.
There's actually a whole lot of romance in this show. I'm surprised.
Episode 13.
Aw, crap, Jet thinks Zuko is against the Fire Nation because of the burn. Ouch.
Aaaand Jet saw the fire bending.
Aang smiled again!
Episode 14. ...who the fuck is that?
Earth guy is pushy. (where's toph?)
Ooo, she can weild lightning like Iroh did that one time.

Date: 2009-04-17 02:27 am (UTC)That makes two of us. Delicate flower, she isn't (you gotta love a girl that is able to spit and scratch herself like the best of 'em).
I really think the pony tail was too tight.
Yup, me too. (Doesn't he look a lot better with that short, messy hair?)
Oh my god I love Toph. "There it is!" She's blind. And over it.
Which is only one of the reasons I love Toph. She actually behaves like a blind person, for once. She's no poor, pitiful blind girlie that needs help all the time, oooh, no. Offer her help and she might just bring a mountain down on you.
I actually have blind friends, and at first I was horrified at the fact that she was able to mock her own blindness like that... then I realized that blind people are Strong. They have to be, since everything much harder for them. And Toph officially kicks ass. :D

He looks so much better. And I love the Ember Island Players episode where they make jun of his hair, too. XD

Date: 2009-04-17 07:41 pm (UTC)Toph is such a refreshing character... there's nothing like a little girl that loves to throw chunks of rock at people while laughing like a madman and mercilessly making fun of them to brighten your day. XD
