You know what's great? Merlin. It's awesome.
What, don't believe me?
Then I give you:
What, don't believe me?
Then I give you:
Why I Love Merlin
~A List~
Part One
1) The show isn't subtle. At all.

"So, just for the sake of argument, if you had to- Arthur or Lancelot?"
"But I don't have to and I never will."
"Oh, you are no fun, Gwen."
2) Even when the show thinks it's being subtle, it's not.
Case in point:

What's that? Can't make it out? Let's try this, then.

3) Sometimes, the show thinks it's being sneaky by not naming certain objects, as if most of the Western world doesn't know these legends by heart. Oh, show.

Cup of Life? Hmm...
3) There are awesome cameos by Persons of Future Interest.

4) Two of the main characters are women, and they are awesome.
They give each other flowers when the other isn't feeling well-

They fight-

And are just generally awesome people.

5) The mentor figure is like Shepherd Book. Who know's what's in his past (ie, Something Bad).

"You've forgotten everything. You're getting too old."

"With all my powers of prediction, I could never have foretold this- Gaius the hero... Why should I grant your wish? You stood and watched our friends burn in the great Purge. You are nothing but a traitor."
6) The color coding. Basic Red for Pendragon/Camelot, Blue for Science/Magic/Other, Yellow for Gwen, Orange for Lancelot, Green for the Druids, Purple/Blue for Morgana unless she's going bad and then it's Green. Have I missed anything?

7) Nimueh. Shaddup, I liked her. And I don't necessarily think that she's dead dead. Maybe just comic book dead.

8) Magnificent Bastard 2.0! My thinking is, the longer that Uther lives, the longer the show will run since it's basically him that's stoping all this 'future king' and 'wizard' business. No Uther, no conflict, no story. So. Long live Uther!

9) OT4 FTW!

There's a sunset there, you just can't see it. And this sunset? Is magical.
10) And finally... well, I'm sure you can guess.

I don't think poison when I see this picture. I think marriage. Though they are a bit young, maybe they should take things slow, give us a few more seasons of development. No need to rush these sorts of things. :)
