Dude, there's something like 500 novels written about Star Trek. Plus the movies. Plus five different TV series. It's...a ridiculous amount.
My point exactly. The sheer amount of things available scares me, and I don't want to get into it in case I really do feel like hunting for all of them (that, and the trekkies kind of scare me).
I think they're dragging xxxholict out because it's very important that the timing is right between the events in xxxholic and the ones in TRC; since xxxholic is shorter, they can't have it ending before the other one.
Plus remember they are involved in several projects... they have to dedicate some time to Kobato and to the script of whatever series they are going to start after both of these end (they always have the script ready before starting to draw it, which is why all their stories have such good plots).
This doesn't make the wait any less frustrating, though. :P
